Seamlessly integrated linear lines of light

DesignPlusLight were involved in one of the latest residential developments in the heart of Soho. Built in 1939, the building once housed London’s premier school of art and design.

Pitched ceilings are emphasised with concealed cove lighting. This provides a soft reflected light and lifts the impression of the space. Harsh glare is cleverly avoided by concealing the light fittings within the architectural detail.

The linear lighting effect is continued into the open plan kitchen space with linear washes of light onto the cabinets. Lines of light are detailed seamlessly into the wall and across the ceiling. This enhances the architectural structure and defines the space.

A careful mix of contemporary and traditional lighting solutions makes for a unique domestic interior.
